Hey guys
I was wondering about the shift kit and if it makes the car that little bit faster or is it just for the harsher gear changes
If anyone could help that would be much appreciated

You will definately notice the gear changes - they are quite harsh (my Missus hates them, reckons she needs a chiropractor after driving my beast). But, with a tune, when you throw it down the strip, the hard changes are brilliant for your ET.

Will it effect your 0-100 time because it takes me 11 seconds to get up that fast

Sorry fullboost, but your beasty will need more than a shift kit to improve those times. The $2500 or so that you would spend on a Stage 2 could be better spent on getting the motor performing. There are plenty of threads on here that you can use as a guide.

$440 is reasonable for the supply and fitment of a shift kit, but i can guarantee you the transmission isn't beeing rebuilt.

Either you misunderstood or somebodies bullshitting you. I would say you misunderstood.

Matter of perspective. Blowers and Hairdryers are major, to me 250-300 rwkw is great gain :)

Personally I wouldn't bother doing anything to the trans on a stock motor aside a corvette servo, shift kits are to accommodate major gains delivering to the road and not exploding.
