Hey im doing up my VR V6, currently being resprayed, got 4.11 and minispool to wack in, in the market for an auto, thinking stage 3 fully manualised, 2500 stall with a b & m quick shifter. soon to be turboed.

Just wanted to know with a stage 3, if the auto is in D, will it shift through the gears automatically still and only hold gears when placed in that gear?

hope someone has some info, cheers.

No. A stage 3 kit is, as you say, fully manualised. Meaning you have to change gears manually. D = 4th and 4th only

You can get a stage 2 shift kit wich I beleive it makes gear shifts firmer n you can still just leave it in drive or you can change manually

If your a decent driver you shouldn't need to change you clutch to often

BTW
my gear box cost me $2200 to get built that was with out a high stall converter
