did a bit of a search, couldn't find the answer i was after. As the title says, i'm looking a getting a cam next year and a higher stall converter. Just curious at what stock stall is.

TIA

probably around the vicinity of 1500-1650rpm

you may need some higher ratio diff gears so the stall works efficiently

does a 2,700rpm stall converter affect day to day driving very much?

No. Modern hi stalls are very well behaved. I've got 2500 in my VT and it retains lock up for high way cruising, and when driving gently it behaves like a stock converter, but mash the loud pedal and the fun begins.

I never had much to do with hi-stalls. In the new year i am getting a complete cam kit from VCM and a 2,700 stall converter. I think the cam range is 2,200 to 6,800 Should work well. It has 335rwhp at the moment and thats with a MAF tune. The cam will mean MAFLESS retune. 300+ rwkw would be nice.
