Wondering if anyone has any ideas why, I started my car, turned the wheel full lock right, hardly touched my gas pedal and my auto vs stalled on me, was running **** before but never stalled til today
Because when you full lock it, it puts more strain on the engine, and most of the time you will notice the revs drop a bit. The revs on your VS would have dropped too low and it would have stalled.
As above - the power steering pump requires extra power when at full lock, however the ISC Idle Speed Control should raise the idle speed so the engine does not stall. Can also happen if the throttle body is dirty. Both are cheap and easy to clean - adviseable to do this first.
Cheers, yer I presumed it would be similar to the common forklift problem, I know my TB is clean, and by ISC is that the same as the IAC? If not where do I find it? If so I may need to buy a new IAC as it was cleaned not long ago.
