Standard Alloytec polished manifold on LY7 high output 190kW?p

175 kw manifold will still fit however... The 175 manifold does not have variable runner length so it will be less power. I polished mine on car and never had off road time. Just spent an hour on it every night for a week and it was done. Results are this

That does look good , I polished the plenum on my Ecotec , but my 05' SV6 has a black manifold which I kind of like .

Oh , I presumed it was the silver topped manifold that you had just polished up , good work ., so the the black finish sand's off to leave a silver/ grey surface ??

As long as you don't go too heavy on it, it is only alloy after all.

don't expect it to stay nice and flat, youll end up putting divets and low spots in it. better off blocking it by hand it dosnt take that long with the 80grit emory paper

I'd rather be more comfortable removing it from the car for the little crevices e.g. The throttle body.
Partially why I wanna buy a pre-polished one haha.

Buy a second hand one to fit wile you polish the 190 one that way ya not always down on power due to wrong manifold

Thought - the variable runners are on the lower manifold piece correct?
Could I not buy a pre polished upper manifold and bolt that on?

Na it's in the top bit. The 175 doesn't have this valve butterfly think in the rear of it, so u wouldn't be able to plug it in
