Hey guys,

Because I'm 1. lazy, 2. can't afford off road time and 3. I made my manifold very ugly, I'm just wondering if I get a polished manifold, and it's from the 175kW Alloytec, will it fit my 190kW engine, and is there any difference between the manifolds?

Thanks guys

175 kw manifold will still fit however... The 175 manifold does not have variable runner length so it will be less power. I polished mine on car and never had off road time. Just spent an hour on it every night for a week and it was done. Results are this

Man I love your engine bay haha.
Removing it nightly though, won't this cause me to need to replace the gasket every time?
and are the bolts torque tightened or?

Could you gimme instructions on how you did it? :)

I didn't remove it nightly. I left the manifold on the car, just washed the engine bay after I finished sanding. I had those mace spacers so I just used rtv silicone to put it back together.

I cheated with mine, I started with really heavy grit, like 80 then 100, 200, 400 then 1500 lol. I could have gone to 800 then 1500 but I'm impatient lol. Afterwards I just used mothers metal polish and it came out good. The hardest bit is the first 80 grit removing the pitting, but after that it becomes very easy. If you have a hand sander that makes it heaps quicker too

I'd rather be more comfortable removing it from the car for the little crevices e.g. The throttle body.
Partially why I wanna buy a pre-polished one haha.

Could I not use an angle grinder to 'cheat' sanding rather than the hell of manual labour? Lol

Too many
Buy a decent used one and polish it, then swap it with your standard one?

Yeah but finding one from a 190kW model is proving difficult
