I need new spark plugs for my car (LS1) but I am not sure if I should just get 8 new standard NGK plugs for $4.90 each or get 8 NGK Laser Iridium IZTR5B11 plugs for $30.00 each. What do people recommend? I can read the benefits of the Iridium plugs or is all that just NGK's marketing wank?

Cheers.

Iridium just last longer. Don’t waste your money.

Not sure if your car is stock or not, have a look into Brisk Silver racing plugs if boosted or modified.

Far better than Iridium and bit cheaper.

Iridium cost 6 x as much but don’t last 6 x as long as standard plugs.
They aren’t difficult to replace on your engine and offer no economy or performance advantage.

Stick with standard plugs.

Completely stock. So I think I will stick with normal plugs.
