Hi everyone,
Had a problem last week with starting. There was only a 'click' from the starter when I turned the key - but everything else seemed fine (radio, lights etc). I then tried a spare battery I have, no issues, so it looks like the problem is solved.
On checking I found the battery was 3 years and 3 months old and the warranty had expired. Battery had been in longer than I thought. I have now put in a no-maintenance Century 68MF (Maintenance Free) cost $167.
So here I was about to replace the starter motor. Just goes to show, check the obvious first. Hope this helps someone else..
