Vz adventra
Hi,
VZ adventra, 300k kms started to get the "click" happening on the starter solenoid. Every now and then it'd start no problems. But I decided to change the starter motor and the relay.
Took the relay into the auto store and asked for a replacement. Got given a new starter and relay. Went home, changed starter and plugged in new relay turned the key and... nothing.
Took the new relay out, plugged in old one. Tried again. Nothing.
Had a look at the new relay, and the pin positions are different.
My question, could the new relay have burnt out the earth connection to my ecu? I don't like condemning things.

Bridging the starter cranks engine, but sounds like there is no fuel. (Immobilizer problem?)
All the fuses are fine.
Tried swapping in one of the old relays as well.

Bit at a loss.
Cheers

Do you have access to a multimeter? If you do, check continuity to ground when you hit start with the key.

Genuine starter relays are the go and they are only $20 from Holden.
