First of all, we need more info. When you try and start the car, does the fuel pump prime? Does it try to turn over? What does it do exactly? If you are broken down, tip some water on the CAS. The CAS is notorious for causing the commodore to stall. Cooling it down with some water can get her going again. But thats just a stab in the dark, tell us exactly whats happening.

Did you replace the fuel pump? Or did someone else? There is a small filter that sits on the intake of the fuel pump. If that isnt put on correctly it can easily fall off, or you get dirt on it before its installed, it can cause the pump to fail. Most common cause of failing fuel pump is contaminants getting into the pump. The pump should come with a 12 month warranty, which is voided if the filter isnt on, so you should get it done, part anyway, under warranty.

Nice work on checking power to the pump by the way.

Fuel pump shouldnt be all that common. A VR shouldnt have had more than 1 fail in its 13/14 year life. There should be alot of stock pumps still going.

fuel pump was fine, well what had happend, was the wires that power the pump inside the take, one had the insulation worn/sliced, and the bare wire had shorted on the sender itself.. got a new sender and shes all good :)
