I have had trouble with my Eco motor on start up. It turns over no problems, but will not start - or will start and then snuff straight away. The 2nd time you turn the key it starts straight away, no issues. The plugs are not that old NGK Irridums - leads are couple of years old - top gun and fuel pump is newly replaced. Any ideas on what the cause of this problem is would be helpfull. Cheers
If the light is flashing it means the immobilizer is on. The starter motor will turn over but it will not start.
I had that problem just the other day. The car wouldnt run as i kept turning the key...however the second time i did it... it kicked over... but wasnt running smooth, it felt like it was choking...so i gave it abit of a rev and then it ran smoothly... no idea whats wrong with it... cause it feels like its chokin at times when my foot goes on the accelator. Plus there is a new battery in there for starting up!
omg same thing is happening to the VT at the moment..kicks over for a second dies, 2nd perfect....maybe climate change :whistling
Mine VTII starts kicks then drops off like the battery is flat you think it's dead then up she comes and starts and when i drive it's prefect, Just about every Ecotec VS-VX i have herd start of late sounds and does the same as mine. I was coming out of the shop and a VS was starting he didn't get it the first time but did the 2nd time and just then it ran off and seem to sound fine running.
Yes - the light on the mode switch is comming on and that is when it will not start. Every time it starts the red light is switched off. I found that if I turn the ignition on, then off and then start the car, it actually starts. Their must be another solution I'm hoping though.
Mine does the same thing it fires, then a long pause of nothing, then it starts very suddenly and runs awesonely! and it only does it if i have driven it in the last 15 minutes or the engine is still warm
