    hi just got a v6 vs 300,000ks
has new key but first start it turns over, but no fire up, then the radio red light starts to blink ,so i stop cranking, then try again and it fires
some times it will fire up 1st pop ,but not many
has new key, balancer crank sensor 10,000ks ago
just a pain to start i have tried ,lock and unlock doors ,ect
when key is in and turn the main red flashing light goes out in 2 sec
and so does the radio one as soon as i crank the radio light flashes
and it will not fire up,2nd time it starts

if any one can help me with some tips please

Try checking where the pickup knob from the key contacts with the ring on the igition switch for a good contact and pressure as you turn the key.

try cleaning the 2 steel strips around the ignition barrel, if the key head doesn't make a good clean contact as stated above ^^^ then it won't start.

Make sure that the pickups for the key are in the right position (it is only a push fit around the switch)on the switch as if the contact isnt made all the way as you turn the key the thing will do what yours is.

what bellhousing will fit up to vs v6 engine to swap it to manual
is a t5 gearbox the best one
would a 3.3 straight six one fit?

both the T5 and getrag transmissions will bolt straight up. unfortunatly the 3.3 straight 6 is different and probably won't handle the extra power of the V6 very well anyways. in my opinion the T5 box is better although they say the getrag is better shifting then the T5.
