At first i thought both my keyheads for my VS were shot and i got around for quotes for a new copy. But here's the thing, both remotes activate and de-activate the alarm and central locking from a good 4 metres away from the car.

Some days it would start on the first go, others...may take up to 20secs of waiting in the start position.

But just yesterday i noticed something, if was to bump, jiggle or move the auto selector about in the park position the car starts!

so i think ive found the culprit...any ideas on how to fish out the cause of this?

sounds like the neutral switch is either not adjusted properly (if there adjustable) or the switch has seen better days (stuffed) as me mothers car has the same problem..

yeap, as jas98 said neutral or inhibitor switch..

i dont think these are 'serviceable' but i u could try it in neutral instead of park and see if it also works from there (which it should).. i would be call holden and grab a price and ring repco or rarespares to get an idea if holden is ripping you.
