starting problems

    the problem was under volt 11.8 (new regulator fitted)to the alternator

    there are 4 terminals on top and 3 on bottom, which are 5&6?

    i think ur lookin in the wrong place? r u lookin under ur fuse box compartment?

    yes it the connection on drivers side in the middle above ya feet, theres is i think bout 16 holes in the connector but only 7 of them have the metal tabs in them in my car, 4 on top & 3 on bottom

    yer thats correct count the seperate holes as 1 even if they dont have metal contacts in them u'll find wen u count 5 and 6 across they will have metal contacts

    Top row, counting left to right, including the empty ones. If you look really close, I think they are numbered.

    mine arent numbered but i got the codes now.
    they are,
    23
    44
    47
    64

    i know from the earlier post 44 & 64 are oxygen sensors but can you please tell me what 23 & 47 are,

    23. Air temperature sensor (voltage high)
    47. Crank angle reference signal (no signal)
    Some may be intermittent faults. Reset your ECU by disconneccting your negative battery terminal for about a minute. Reconnect the battery and run your car for a while and then re-check the codes.

    well an update on wats going on. by the looks of it, its a faulty battery. did a battery test by putting the battery in my old mans 4x4 and it wouldnt start. stuck his battery in mine and started like a beauty. so will be getting another battery.

    now the funny thing is, my head unit can eject cd's while the keys are out. i've never really noticed that before, so im assuming it may be a bad ground and hence its drawing current. and also, with the oxygen sensors, are they hard to change over?

    thanks in advance for helping me out this far along. :)

    Changing the oxygen sensors is as easy as changing a spark plug.
