Any one fitted a Statesman map light that goes under the passengers blind to a VN?

I have the map light - but before I start cutting - a photo of where it go's would be great - or if it cant be fitted becuase there is no hole for it.....

    Any info would be cool.

    Hmm thanks that'll be great.

I fig it had to be in the correct spot and well cut out else it would fall out. So just didn't want to hack into it (like when I was a youngster) and hope for the best.

How easily could you wire that light up to the spot on the rear of a VP Calais. I bought some thinking they fit (cause i like the push in ones, not the switch) but they don't even fit in the hole.

ATM theres no light in there, cause i broke the old ones (well, they were pretty **** when i got the car, pulling them out just helped them fall apart)

Easy as. I used a old spotlight plug and soldered the 2 wires up. Orange to power, wire to door switch and black to earth. Look at my 91 VN V8 - fitted extra lights in this week just gone.

I recond if you take the plastic holder out the hole would almost be the correct size.

Figured it would be a simple wire job.

I'll see if i can find the light i have, but when i looked, it seemed to have quite a large plastic thing on one side, that made it difficult to fit.

I have a Stato roof clock (well, 2 lol) i need wired up, so i guess i'll get it all done at the same time
