Statesman weekend cruiser project

The indicators usually go for anywhere between $100-120 each....which I think is a bit much for some plastic.

If I found a second hand set for say $50 I would be happy

 

Not sure man,I could do some experimenting with a spare one and find out though.

Dragged it out today so the builders could get to my backyard.....perfect time for some happy snaps

 

Yep, I'm at kmart most friday nights (usually till all hours of the morning but with renovations starting at 6am every saturday at the moment I head home around 11 for the next month or so)

Finally started building my new garage/workshop area for the statesman.


now I can look at buying a second 304 to build properly etc (while my single car enclosed carport is good, it's doesn't have any room to work or have a bench....I can barely even open up my engine crane in there.)

Also hopefully picking a caprice grille up next week.

Will also be organizing new tyres soon, so thinking a mid size whitewall like this

Just waiting on new tyres as no point spending money on walls for tyres that need to be replaced anyways

 

Cruise for a Cause 2013

 

Bought myself a buffer & meguiars polish & wax for xmas so I could finally bring the paint back up to scratch. (while it was in good condition when I bought it, it was lacking that shine)

Spent most of boxing day on the car.








Been driving it over the xmas break but after new years it will retire back to the garage like usual so I can pull the tailshaft out to get the clapped out uni's and center bearing replaced.

Also been speaking to my parts supplier about the lack of lowerage on the car, think I have decided to go for Lovells springs and KYB shocks...this seems to be the softest combo I have seen yet, Installed a set on a mates statesman a couple of months back and was really comfortable compared to the agony of king springs.

 

I'm not overly happy about it but I believe it is nessesary.
