Few updates:

After a lot of searching I sourced a replacement leather steering wheel from a senator. (I had put a standard rubber wheel on when I bought the car due to the leather falling to bits).

Ordered a new rear resonator from NAAF (Manta) to replace the straight through rear section, while it was a good volume the drone was just unbearable and the note was no where near as deep as a 304 should be. Looking forward to hearing it once its all fit up.

Currently looking into alloy radiators (decent ones, not Chinese crap) and either AU twin fans or a BF single fan before summer hits. I have been having cooling system issues the last 2 summers due to a crap but expensive repco radiator and a worn fan clutch.

Also trying to source some 3.45 diff gears.

Serviced it in preparation for the decent weather (haven't been driving it much over winter)

Speaking with some diff specialists about getting my diff rebuilt over the next couple of months as mine has a bit of backlash which is giving some annoying clunks and also leaking from the pinion seal.

Also considering a VT front brake upgrade, after getting out my daily and in to this on the weekend it always throws me as to how little braking ability it actually has.

Also finally got a vid of the new exhaust, not too loud but has that unmistakable 304 note to it. (didn't rev too much as it was still cold)

I've heard going VE brake upgrade is the better option, Read a couple threads and alot of people don't notice a huge difference with the VT brakes. Just my 2 cents.. :p

The big brake kit is a minimum of 17... Maybe look into a smaller kit?

Vt brakes pull it up alot better. You just have to get use to a small amount of travel before anything happens. (Because you need to move more fluid) ve kits do not have the same need for fluid quantity so feel is alot better.
If you can source ve's to fit with your wheels then get them.

Picked up a clean and tight, leak free IRS open wheel diff last night to chuck in as a temporary replacement for my worn, clunky LSD.

Going to chuck that in on saturday and stash the LSD on the shelf in the workshop and give it the 3.45/3.7 truetrac touch when the time comes to start playing with more torque (I drive to sensibly to brake traction so the LSD really isn't necessary at this stage, but will be nice to have when the time comes)

To any gurus out there, can an IRS diff be removed without needing to drop the whole subframe?

Can be. I did it. The top bolts are fun. Hugging the diff while double spanner ing the bolts. It's tight too.
Some bolts can be done with a breaker bar.
The Allen keys are easy if you use an impact socket. They have good length on it.
