I would kill for a set of caprice rims......they are very hard to find (none for sale in SA atm)

These will do for now, if I ever find a set I will snatch them up

Please don't save up for Speedy Malibus, they just look so cheap and nasty. If you want that look, get some ShowWheels Streeters. Yes everyone has them, but that's because they are sexy as ####.

I did alot of reading up when I was thinking about sound deadening the cabin of my WK (it creates alot of road noise due to shyte tyres) apparently dynamat is the expensive way of doing it. Alot of people are recommending using Formshield (Clark Rubber) and/or Combination Butyl/Foam sound deadener (available from Jaycar)

yeah, I just say dynamat as a generic term as everyone knows it.

I have a contact that does a much much cheaper alternative.

crap pic from this evening but you get the idea

So nice to have standard tyres again (I hate low profiles) feels Cadillac smooth now :p

Thinking some white walls or 16" white wall inserts are in order

Also getting some statesman center caps made up.

Those wheels and some white walls will look way better than 90% of aftermarket wheels, nice choice:)

Detailed the exterior this morning now the nice weather is back (I am slack with the cleaning side of things in winter as there is way to much mud and crud on the roads up my way)

Going to book it in during my annual leave in nov/dec to get it detailed properly with a buff etc and some stone chips removed.

Also thinking about getting the wheels professionally polished soon, I just couldn't get that mirror shine from my powerball.

Considering lowering the front a bit, now the large profile tyres have taken some of the harshness out of the ride I could probably learn to live with the stiffer springs.

Lol funds lack too much to do it right now......but it will be done when the tyres need to be done which will be before the end of the year as the tyres need to be off the rims to be done properly

Work was quiet today so decided to start polishing the engine covers while I had the polishing gear out from the wheels.

    Hmm yeah they're pretty expensive.
Have you thought about getting clear indicator lenses for the front or do you have to get a whole new front end from a VS?

I'm hunting down a set at the moment actually.

Ideally I would like the clear indicators and fog lights.

When I find them at the right price I will do it
