    Hey guys,

The other night I was sitting in my car it's a 2011 ss and the IQ was muted and when I was sitting there in silence in my garage I could hear static in the speakers which appeared to be worse when the head lights were on... It's not very loud for example during day down town in a car park it would be hard to hear.. Just wondering is it normal? Has anyone else noticed? Cheers

Are you talking about the high pitched alternator whine?

My STOCK system does that ever-so-quietly. I can only hear it in between songs etc. Still pretty ordinary for a factory sound system though...
