Std engine on a cam tune

    Looking at pulling my engine for more mods, ecu is tuned for cam/zorst/intake etc..
    If i put a stock engine in meantime would i be fine not changing tune?

    Depending on cam, will possibly overfuel up in the revs and under fuel at idle. Might have heat issues. Might not run at all.
    How much effort to save that tune up and load in a stock tune??

    Just get another ecu with a vats removed tune and sell it afterwards.

    O.k, so i have a freshly rebuilt engine with comp 232/234 595lift, rocker upgrade,psi springs etc etc ready to drop in....
    Old engine had a mid 220/223 cam, all the bolt ons mafless tuned,,,
    Will i get away with just a tune touch up & dyno.. or will it possibly need a full retune?? Just wondering on what sort of ballpark cost im looking at

    total characteristics will be different best to get it all tuned to suit

    So after puting the fresh engine in it idled & ran fine (nothing over 4k rpm).
    Booked in to hi torque today for mild touch up tune (hot as #### day) managed 285kw@wheels 650nm nice even arc, with only 80ks on the engine.. happy dayz
    Big bump for hi torque! Everywhere in brissie i rang wanted approx 1k for a tune,
    The guys at hi t actually listened to me & only charged half that couse it was allready mafless tuned..
