You can't see steam......it's a gas. Water vapor is coming out of your exhaust.

Do you check your coolant level (and oil) on a regular basis?

Should change your name to goossie

Did you get water in there recently from a car wash or similar?

I once got carried away with cleaning my exhaust tips and got quite a bit of water in there. It steamed like crazy for weeks after that. Seems to have settled down a bit now though...

I think it's just the temperature the VE runs at. If I had seen the sort of temps I get now from my old LS1, I'd be pulling it off the road for overheating. From memory the fans don't even come on til 108 degrees.

mine blows "steam" all the time after ive been driving for ages. ive thought the same thing; why not other cars???

No wonder a mild steel exhaust only lasts a couple of years on e85... check the condensation.

I warmed it up for about five minutes, drove around the block, up the park, around the car park, still spittin!
