What is your end goals for power and rpm? N/A or forced induction?
This will dictate how bulletproof and other supporting mods required.

im thinking of ballpark 20-30$k harrop blower, mild roller cam,std heads with a little work-double valve
springs, rockers, porting going through a t5 brass button or hd cluch to a detroit locker and 4 bolt caps
its a s111 vs ute s pack.basically want to keep it all looking bog stock plus pacemakers dual
theres a lot more room under there than the sedan.im interested in any ideas, comments
whether good bad doesnt matter its the end game for me.selling my bt1 sedan cause im just
fed up with every car having no cluch pedal,im tiny bit old school

You'd be better off using a T56 with a budget/engine like that, you already have the hydraulic pedal box to boot.

20k-30k is a lot of money to pour into a 304 though, they're not exactly known as power houses (and not just because the LS exists). Are you trying to build the engine for a specific purpose?

i got a few complete 5.0l on my garage floor and theyr taking up some space, ive been building em for around 15 yrs
and got to know the internals pretty good.i just gunna use it for every day use no strip or track work, sure i could
spend less or not so much as is known $ start to add up and i would rather overquote the job before it has started
what i lack is ecu programming and forced induction figures, injector and fuel pump sizes.also doin it for some people
in the game who didnt make it.could have purchased something late model but the problem i found is that there
is too much insulation and stuff and i cant hear the lion roar

Never heard of a stock stroke 304 crank breaking.

T5 will not like the sort of torque/power a blown 304 will put down.

That's a question people much smarter than me have been debating for decades.

Personally, I'd ditch the stock bolts. ARP studs at a minumum, maybe upgrade to 1/2" studs and add a girdle. Others will insist 4 bolt mains. I guess it depends on how much power you want to make and how many rpm you want to turn it to and use. For a racer 4 bolts is a no brainer but if it's a daily and occasionally gets a beating than the upgraded 2 bolt should suffice.
