Hey all i just replaced a steering rack in my 2001 vx clubsport (2nd hand) really wired, after the car has been at operating temp for about 45 min so about 1 hour of driving the pump starts getting a bit nosier like it needs to be bled. Then leave it over night start it and back to being quiet then it happens again.
No leaks and no loss of power

Just wondering if there is a slightly different version i might have cheers

Noise in Power Steering
1. Looe or defective drive belt
2. Air In Hydraulic System Bleed system (as described below)
3. Loose or incorrectly installed powersteering lines tighten or correctly install power steeing lines
4. Loose pump mounting bolts or braket instpect for damage and renew if necessary
to bleeed the system you.
1. check and top up fluid if necessary.
2. raise the vehicle on jack stands
3.with the engine turned OFF turn the steering rack from lock to lock serveral times top up as some air may come out repeat until fluid level no longer drops
4. start the engine and repeat the process of lock to lock contacting the lock stops lightly
5. when no more air bubbles appear in the fluid reservoir and the fluid level remains constant the system can be considered bled.
6. make sure your wheels are straight and lower the vehicle to the ground

Hope this helps.
