I know there have been threads on this before, just looking for a quick answer. Will a VF flat bottom steering wheel easily fit to my VY? If not, what do i need for correct fitment. Cheers

Does your VY have an air bag in it?

Wont fit.
The vy steering shaft is bigger. So the vf steering wheel wont fit.
How do l know this? I've tried. Took a vy shaft ( vt -ve are the same shaft size. Dont know about previous models) to the wreckers. I knew they had vf steering wheel sitting on the shelf. They had ve too. So l tried both. The ve fitted. The vf didn't.

What do you need for it to fit? The vf shaft is not compatible with vt - vz shaft.
Another smaller shaft for one. You cant buy one of the shelf, so need to go to an engineer, & have the spline cut down.

Then there is the airbag & the different systems they use.
I dont think they are. Then there is the legality of it. You need to get it approved, engineered a vass report. I'm still looking into it.

If l ever get an answer, l'll report back.
