Firstly - I already have both cars so I wont be getting a manual box for it :p

My Walkinshaw is still the factory RB30 and autobox with disc break rear end.
My VL Donor already has a VN V8 and autobox in it with a drum rear end.
Both are running so it should be relitivly easy to do the looms.

I planned to remove both engines/boxes then swap the sub frames and re-install.

Certain sites say to seperate, others say one hit?

Personally I have always worked on toyotas and manuals so this is my first holden and auto swap.

1) Is it easier to remove the engines and boxes in one hit or is it easier to seperate in the car then remove engine then box ?

2) do you need to remove the front panel / grill or is removing the bonet sufficient.

good for a vl when the heater doesn't work. Now that's efficiency
