i own a VT acclaim. i wish to fit stereo audio controls on steering wheel. same as the calais. has anyone attempted this. any feedback is appreciated. thanks

Yes if you run the standard stereo all the harness from the wheel controls and everything itll work. The ones from supercheap just allow you to do it all with an aftermarket head unit. I think you may still require the wiring with those. Sorry assumed you had everything.

Very possible with the clockspring to match. I've done it a few times and wired directly from clockspring to the headunit. Some models are wired via the BCM but it's easier to bypass it.

110% doable either way.
