the problem is this its all running fine but when i press the boot release or lights, brake pedal it kills the stereo till u let go the button or turn lights off what the hell is the go i really need some help on this plz anyone i got the earth an acc on the vn plug an i got the 12v going to some red wire running to near the steering colum was already there
I would suggest run your own constant 12V to the battery (Dont forget a fuse) Sounds like you've accidently tapped into something you shouldn't have...
my stereo manual says earth to body too does that matter tho i used the earth in the vn stero wiring harness an is a 15amp blade fuse ok to use as the constant 12v from the batt
hey man i would earth to the body much better connection. also you may have picked up a false earth in the loom, meaning when you test for earth its there because the swicth is inactive as soon as switch becomes active the wire is no longer an earth . hope that makes sense!
As long as its earthed anywhere on the chassis your fine, i wouldn't use a blade fuse. Best bet would be to go to autobarn and explain your issue. they will have the right fuses for you.
Firstly, earth the stereo out to metal...theres plenty of it behind the centre console so that part is easy. Secondly, test the unit after you've earthed it out properly......if it goes away it was a earth problem. If it dosent its a constant power problem.
timmo ya where right bro thanks i run a test wire an fuse for the constant12v an had the stereo on an turned an pressed everything didnt drop out at all cheers man:thumbsup::bow: an big thanks to everyone else who reply too
