Still no reverse lights,i just changed the switch on gearbox,fuse ok and bulbs ok-T5

    Can any1 help, not sure where to go next,aside from pulling apart the whole box

    do the lights work if you power the touch the wires together? if so its something inside the box. a cheap fix would be to just install a switch and turn them on when you reverse.

    i'd be getting a test light or multimeter.

    then check whether you have power at the switch - if yes, check for power on the other side of the switch. if there is switch is good.

    wiring then heads back through engine harness, then through the plug under the dash, just above ECU, then through to the wiring under the gear surround. there will be a adaptor harness for manuals, it goes between the 4 pin inhibitor plug, and the 3 pin auto power button plug.

    just check through and find where the power has stopped, and go from there.

    What power wires? When i put the new switch in, i didnt know which plug to put on which prong,so i tried noth ways and neither worked

    Does it matter my car sat for 3 months,it was only after that they stopped working

    have you checked if the globes are ok ???

    change one of the globes n see if anything would happen

    also might not be earthed properly?

    Ive checked both globes and they look fine. I'll add earth wiring to the list stuff to check tomorrow,man this is giving me a headache

    As above, if the fuse is OK (you tested it with a test light?) start at the switch.

    With Key On Engine Off (KOEO) test for power at switch.

    If no power, head toward the battery; if it has power, head toward the lamps.
