How are you going to bore a curve?

Only way to overcome the restriction is force it.

Like I said either make a tool that grips emery paper with a flex shaft stolen from a cable like a brake cable.
Or use a flex cable and bore it with 50mm cross buffs.
You would only need to bore the curve and die grind the rest.
There's one runner under the coolant crossover so the will need to be cut out and rewelded but that is hidden.
Also number 8 is quite blocked in so you would increase the plenum area to assist in flow to the entry.

I tried this already on a Buick manifold and the emery didn't even take the burrs off around the ports. I needed a porting tool which I didn't have, so I gave up.

Extrude honing was probably the only viable solution for a job like this and I don't think anyone does that any more.

Unfortunately the OEM alloy banana's manifold isn't great for a performance engine unless you are after low rpm torque when cubes and a small cam would be ideal.

I agree. Which is why it'll nearly be necassery to move to a LS base in my VS.
This is because I can go gen 4 heads with a LS3 intake and make 600hp.

The only other option is to run a low dual with a elbow and hope it clears the bonnet but that is as ugly as my head.

What grit? Aren't they a rectangular runner?

Yea I get what you're saying but I don't want a scoop or a filter out the bonnet and I don't want a under the bonnet open filter because that is worse than heat soak from a stock intake.
