yes so how can you reduce it by 6mm when you have 5.5 to work with Max is 4mm so 44mm not 47mm
It's not 5.5 its 5 ..... 5 the runners don't share walls in this intake.

This reminds me that one day I need someone to make a clear lid for my manifold. Then see what we can see!

Is the mounting surface flat? Can you give me rough outside dimensions?

I'll send you a message with some exact measurements.
It's a convex plate (or concave to the plenum) but mounts to a flat surface and seals with an o-ring recessed into the mani.

John Kasse made a complete manifold out of clear plastic don't know exactly what he used.
He also put a port in it so he could stick his finger in lol.

I was merely posing an option. I too don't build car to suit a new owner, but something like a HSV will likely reap a better financial reward if kept stockish. It was just a suggestion. Being a VS Maloo it has a special place in my heart.

I might add I'm not moding / (re)building the Maloos engine . I have a 304 out of a VR I picked up the beginning of last year so it can be returned to matching # stock engine.

Nah don't worry most intakes do. This one they're offset so they cant.

Hit me up if think of selling starr manifold for decent price...wanted one ever since I was a kid lol

I've had wild n/a 355 setup & also stock to mild n/a 304...yeah they're farking cool to have but annoying when can't use 450hp n/a car like it should be driven.

come single plane with kfame spacer will get single plane under bonnet...wouldn't worry about stock engine bay look when see/hear 450-500hp n/a stroker idle


There is a guy in Victoria just listed 4 hours ago a Starr manifold and other stuff on a facebook group site = 5LTR UTES .

Rarely buy out of state unless I know the seller or business even they usually like to see part before buying...starr manifold is more of a want than a need & I'm too lazy to leave NSW for starr intake from unknown seller.

Long term goal for ute is vortech...smaller pulley will help inefficient bananas even though starr intake would be cool to have on it but adapting ls1 throttle to it will do same job.

Isn't the starr just a stock intake with a bigger TB or is it the one where they cut the top off and convert it to twin TB's?
