getting there. still waiting on gaskets and rubbers. the stato exhaust is too long so ill take it to an exhaust place to get cut up a bit
yeah a bit hard. drivers side aint easy. had to jack up the car quite high, and the motor a bit too. takes a lot of maneuvering to get them in
Nice man, need to upgrade my exhaust soon... hopefully i can get a bargain like that too Is it gonna be noisy?
ive been looking at ebay and COMMODORE VP VR VS VT VU VX VY 3.8V6 EXHAUST SYSTEM - eBay Full Systems, Exhausts, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 25-Oct-08 18:13:22 AEST) does anyone know anything about these are they easy to fit? are they good quality?
damn thats nice the paint looks alright and the green looks nice at night. im also liking the sunroof i want 1 now i dont think ive ever seen a vr with a sunroof except for wagon wheels avatar. does any1 know where i can get a cheap 1?
Pacemakers install in your driveway = bastard ! Lucky mine was on the grass and I could dig a hole in the ground ( mini pit )
if your going to get a sunroof dont do it the cheap way. I think you can get them about $1500 drive in drive out
LOL. love that idea. and yes, real bitch to install in the driveway. got it started tonight. has an exhaust leak though, was way too loud. will fix tomorrow hopefully. catback is cable tied on due to the hangers being two inches away from where it should be. haha yeah ive seen the results of a dodgy installation. results in a written off car pretty much ps. im surprised noones asked about the VH in those photos lol
cable ties melt mate, use fencing wire... where is the leak from? the pacies or the flanges? I was looking at some pics of cheap sunroofs. Some were not straight, others the cuts didnt meet the seal properly. Rust every where etc. I want a sunroof on the SV6 but i gotta find out if it will void the warrantee first.
or you could alternatively use coat hanger wire which will do the job till it get repaired, and very nice car BTW
yeah those are good ideas. basically just using it now to hold it in place instead of holding the exhaust up with bricks. then i gotta drive it about 20km to the exhaust place to get fixed up
i dont know if the cable ties will last 20kms. There will be load on them, plus the heat there is a risk they will give up after a very short time
yeah ill look for some coat hangers or something tomorrow. gotta fix this leak before it can go anywhere though
front of the drivers side header. i think the bolt is ****ed so its not sealing. tried getting it out but didnt seem to wanna come out any further. its gonna annoy me tomorrow.
see if you can get it out, if not try a little loctite on the thread then do it up. When you get to the exhaust shop let them know it needs replacing.
engines covers have been sprayed in sherbrooke green, same as the body colour. exhaust is also finished
