Straight cut gears?

I've owned my WRX for 1 yr with 1st and 2nd straight cut PPG gears.

You can drown out the noise with your radio easily, and you get used to it after a month or two.

I have driven past plenty of police cars, without any problems. 0 extra attention.

Whats your reason for getting straight cut gears in a VT calais?

Oops gotta vx ss 6spd now unsure how to change it, not sure if I want em just enquiring about em for now. Seen a VE gts driving around with em call me stupid but I like the whine

Its an expensive endeavour just for a cool whine.

And unless your producing enough power to start shredding gears in a T56, its not really worth it.

Just as an FYI, receipts for my Gearbox total $7k completely new box with 1st and 2nd straight cut, 3rd and 4th slight helical and helical 5th.

Why straight helical and not just straight? What power are you producing? And is the 7k including a new box purchase gears purchase and installation?

Sure it had straight cut gears and not a charger under the bonnet...

Hmmm now I'm unsure, I would have thought it was straight cuts but this was 4-5 years ago
