    Well, my car has been doing strange things. Ever since ai moved the wreck (change battery and air box to it). It seems to make a sound like the starter gear is crunching. Sometimes it sounds like it doesnt want to completely kick over.
    Battery is 2years old. New starter (6months to 9months). I dont get it.. Was fine before hand..

    Battery could be dead, not unlikely for 2yrs. But if it's making a crunching sound id be checking the starter.

    How am I checking this? It was fine before hand now this.. I think ill get another battery and try that..

    Boss from work thinks its the clutches in the starter. Opinions?

    Old starter is in. Car runs like an athlete now.
    6month old starter goes back, i get replacement. Bam. Spare.

    Good to hear u got it sorted, wouldn't have thought a 6month old starter would have fugged up so soon.

    Thanks for posting up the resolution for others who may come across this thread.
