Ok guys just got my 383 stroker back from a fresh rebuild yesterday and was very happy indeed Till i stopped off at shops 2 mins in n out. Now it wont start. First its a carby fed 383 with a 750 holly and holly fuel pump on the side of the engine bay. usually if i turn the key round till just before stat up the fuel pump turns on and u can hear it. Well now it doesnt turn on. So i went trouble shooting and found that there is no power getting to the pump. so i did a dodge job up and connected it right to the battery and sure enough it turned on. So i go to kick her over and its crancking no worries just no start up. Which leads me to believe there is an electrical problem somewere. ( no spark ) Fuses r fine switched over relays seem fine. Traced the wires back and all connections r solid. new distributer Any ideas guys cheers
A VR with a carby engine fitted. How did it pass rego? I know guys in NSW who have tried to do this this and couldnt get their cars through rego. Apparently a carby type engine has to be running on straight gas (LPG) to meet emissions regulations.
Yer sorry no spark at the leads, not hugely mechanicaly minded prob get towed again As for rego, well with pinkslips i have never actually taken a car for an inspection over last 12 years iv been driving, and actually just got this blue slipped.....just gota find a cool dude n pay out the ass abit lol
Got the good oll NRMA man out..he fused one of the relays together n bobs ya uncle (took him good 35 mins find ) Says a prob in the wiring somewere but hey she back kickin ass
