has any one got orbuilt a stroked 5ltr??
if you have i want to know every thing except price
power out puts would be a great help
cam recomendations
intake mods
ect

any help much appreciated

I'm doing my SS V8 up .Check thru out v8 section with some questions i posted on cam,inlet,ecu and many more about building up a tuff 304

I Recently Purchase Crane Cams 286,Lifters,Valve Springs,Retainers and Valve locks --- check my ride for more info.

What do you intend to do with the motor, street, strip? Do you want a smooth runner or can you live with a rough idle?

It all depends on what you want from the motor. I have a stroked 5ltr. Youl need many parts lol. Just check it out under my ride section.

i under sand ill need heaps of parts.
its going into my hz
im not worried about the idle
i wanna get as much power as i can with out forced induction
i was thinking come intake with dual throttle bodys
its hopfully going to be a manual or a stage 2 shift kitted t700 with a stall good for economy but matches the power range of the cam
i want it as a street and strip motor good for cruisin but with the power to run fast times down the quarter

Sounds like a good project there. I have 198rwkw basically stroked with mild head work, biggest hydralic crow cam, Starr performance manifold and cai, exhaust, Halteck comp. 9:1 comp, Stg 2 th700 with 3thou rpm stally. Drives pretty well with a nice lumpy note to. Go the come ttb for sure. I was gona get that manifold up untill i blew my trans. I was told it will increase my output by about 10rwkw over my current manifold. :)

when i start it ill let you all know
im looking for at least 200 rwkw
its goin in my hz so i will also like to know what diff to put it in?
im going to leave the stock diff in it till i blow it but im going to spool it cos 1 wheel spining aint as fun as 2

Hi mate, sounds like a nice project!!
When my stroker spun a bearing. I got it rebuilt, The engine builder, put acl race series pistons rings and bearings, balanced it all, mild head work, crow stage three kit, which consists of a cam, chip, lifters , double springs, retainers etc etc. roller rockers, three angle valve grind, copper head gaskets, double row timing chain, oil pump etc etc.
Whent hard, but i am now running a crane 286. Make sure you have good leads, and coil.
Instead of going a kit, which i was pissed when my builder just went ahead and put it in, i would recomend finding a cam that suits your needs and buying the rest seperate. Because it is not worth buying the chip which comes with the pack as you can get the one that came with motor reprogrammed.. So you will save yourself a few hundred $ which can go to a dyno tune!!

that was the plan from the start
my engine builder is going to bule print and balance the bottom end andand asemble it(bottom end only) also do the valves in the heads and shave them ect
i will put my own cam in, timing chain, lifters, roller rockers ect
im getting mds ignition system and when its built ill take it in with the sdt chip and get the chip and tune.
