Strut brace fitting

c an i ahve a look at what strut brace you bought cos usually they just bolt on the top of the strut tower

There are no bolts on top like the vr- vs so you have to drill your own...

mmm i thought there was suppose to be locators for the strut and thats what they were attatched to... have fun:thumbsup:

Did you just drop the strut tower or did you have to unbolt the whole thing?

How much clearance is between the bolts and the struts?

Approx. how long did the job take you?

I noticed you don't have your engine cover on at the moment and you have brought some on eBay.

Will you be able to put the new engine covers on with out having to take the strut bar off and drop the strut out again?

No 1 I just undone the top bolt and the strut tower dropped down with just enough room to get your fingers in.... Didnt want to undo the bottom ones due to having to get a wheel alignment...

No 2 I would say there would be bout 10- 15 mm gap fromthe bolt heads to the top of the spring (so plenty of room)

No 3 Was mucking around a bit so was in no rush but prob in total bout 2-3 hrs.. Was also learning bout the car aswell :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

No 4 yes i did but some of ebay same as yours just gotta paint them when i get them...

No 5 I pretty sure i can look like there is heaps of room... But also i have glued the bolt heads from underneath with a hot glue gun (sounds dodgy) but its only to hold the bolt in place if i ever take it off..

Had a quick search couldnt find anything...

Just bought a strut brace off ebay for $65 bucks going to fit it tomoz morn

Do you have to drop the springs out to get the bolts in from underneath or can it be done without dropping them

Car is VX SS any help you guys have would be great will post some pics in my ride when i am done
