stuck in limp home mode

    got a problem with my computer. when i start the car, engine light stays on, and the thermo fan comes on straight away. car is running rather slow and ive been told im in limp home mode. any idea how i can fix this? ive tried a couple of memcals but no luck

    well my aldl cable has stopped working on my car for some reason, however, a couple of days ago i was getting code 51 for PROM error

    is it possibly that somewhere in the car's diagnosic line there's a fault that makes it think the wires for limp home are connected?

    its a good thing. means i dont need a new computer. one of the two plugs on the bottom of the ecu mustve had a loose wire, or having trouble connecting. took the ecu out, checked the wires, plugged it back in, reset everything and my problems were gone

    im still getting the engine light popping on and off sometimes when driving, so ill give it an error code check tomorrow
