i can get the VE/GXP diffuser from holden cheap enough, i just need to wait for it to fit in my budget before i can get it. im thinking i might just make one out of thin sheet steel, that way it can be whatever shape i want it to be.

and so far, iv done 99% of the work myself yes.

and lastly a question, the metal pipe is the one that the turbo sits on and the hole is where the wastegate is going. the rubber one is my bottom radiator hose. is it going to be too close to the metal and melt? if so i do have a steel 90degree bend iv been thinking of using instead.

edit: forgot the pic lol

Probably a good plan to do something with that hose! Have you looked at getting the turbo up pipe or header (whatever it is) ceramic coated?

I love that subtle turbo placement too! Going to look good.

the up pipe im just gonna grind back the Fugly welds (that i didnt create btw) and have it wrapped. just keep it simple and affordable. im struggling with what to do about covering up the turbo to keep it under the bonnet. i think i wanna do something along the lines of a BA bulge, but narrower and taller obviously, or a tubular type bulge.... not sure yet. anyway, heres a dirty night time phone pic of the turbo thru the bonnet.

im probably going to correct the height of the UP pipe and then put an unmolested bonnet back on. after chopping some of the bracing away im gonna be able to get away with not cutting the skin at all.

so to answer your question, i got a bit excited when i saw the opportunity to have it sticking out, but now that it is, im regretting it. its currently raining, and i have no garage. so i now have a wet engine.. not really favourable.

Good to see a turbo going in there, not so keen on having it stick out of the bonnet (or an any asymmetrical bonnet modification really :)) What sort of power are you planning to get out of it?
