1997 VS Commodore II
I just installed my subs aswell, l ended up bolting them from underneath the car (no ones stealing them now!!) but they don't sound to great. At the moment l have an 800 watt 4 channel amp running my 2x400 watt 10" subs. With abit of mucking aobut l think l can get them to work better, it just seems like they're hitting something solid.

How does yours sound by the way?

Nothing
go the 2x12's. i've got a very bias opinion towards them but 10's to me are too tight and punchy and 12's just seem to have the punchyness aswell as some depth

I've fixxed the problem... l had the gain nearly touching min !!! Anyway, yeah, its enough bass for me, but l'm one of those people that rather a crisp mix of sound and bass. I'd rather set my self apart from the usual sound coming from vl's which is usually all bass, no sound.

I'll upload a pic as soon as l can be bothered...

Oh, and l have a VS II. l just noticed my bloody door handles rattle, that and my damm p plates.

plenty of depth sounds like your in a cinema

tight sounding bass and now i have 2x150watt 6" pioneer speakers in the back to replace the stockys that were there also wired to the amp gotta love having 4 channels 2 channels for the sub and 2 for the 150's sounds alot better now and my passenger front door handle rattles too and the rego but that can be fixed.

Sansui SM-A1400FX 4-Channel Amplifier
and no the 15" cone did not come from jaycar that was a friends mate who had that.
{EDIT} the amp is 100watt per channel running the sub off two channels two 6" 150watt pioneers of the other two channels
and the front 6"pioneer's 140watt are run from the deck
