Its in Canberra. So its a long trip for you vs-ute-119. lol...... Or a short drive ;) VRRROOOOMMM.

My mates are going. Most of us flying. One wants to drive.

Im still unsure whether i wanna go - The money could go towards more useful stuff.

Most probably fly over, unless I can talk my mate into taking his bus over.

How good it is is a matter of interpretation. If you like drunken yobbos carrying on like sex starved wankers then it is right up your alley. If you appreciate a good and friendly atmosphere and high show quality cars I suggest you give it a miss.

Your on the money there Troy. I have mate's that come up from Geelong to go, as I live about 3k up the road. I hope the new owners do something about the drunk tossa's this year. I still don't understand why you need to get smashed but I guess I'm getting old.

i'll be attending, its only an hour in the car for me.

sure there is ALWAYS bad publicity, but ive also seen some great things at summernats, my first trip was last year, and i had many more people enjoying themselves than druken tossers, even at night.

this may well be the last of summernats as people know it, its either moving or just being canned, canberra doesnt want it anymore due to the f**kwits.

I heard that it does get pretty rowdy.

And I reckon having it in Canberra is a **** idea, because Canberra is a politician town not a rev head town.

Would be better of in Perth:yeah:

Lol... Right on the money there...

There's a few skirts that get down there, some are even half decent looking, but I wouldn't go near them with a 10 foot pole, even if you paid me... :p

If you go with a group of mates it can be a fun w/e, but be prepared for the night activities! lol...

Might give it a miss then.

I seen a video of summernats and it looked pretty strange.

Like every guy there (whether they brought a car or not) act like theyre the ultimate.

It might just frustrate me more than feel like a holiday.

Summernats used to be awesome with decent cars and cruises,we used to camp for the 3 nights and was great, afew beverages and a bbq going with about 10 other m8's.Its not too bad during the day as nowadays its tried to be more family orientated to encourage more but there's still some wankers out there that spoil even that.I re-fuse to take me daughter anymore and havn't for the last few years now.Don't get me wrong Its a good thing to experience for the first time if you've never been but be prepared lol.Its still being held in canberra and has just been given over to new owners for atleast another 3-5 years.Canberra should of kept the GMC 400 as that was an awesome event but unfortunately winging ***kers ruined that aswell coz it upset there travell route for the 3 days!!!! :bang: It shits me to tears to think that everything decent thats been held here (car wise) has been forced to go elsewhere because of the same issues.Bring back the drag strip which will stop half the hooning on canberras streets and also the GMC which was a great event to have in the nations capital

EDIT: Having new owners now well ya never know it might end up being a great event again
