Hey all,

Ideas anyone?
Or rough idea on price to get it out?
Cheers.

 Great effort :)

Only a couple of options left, you could try filing a couple of flats on it and then try and use a shifter. Use a hammer and centre punch to loosen it, drill it and use an easy out (could get very messy) or pay someone to do it for you (no idea on cost).

This is what I'd be trying.

Is the sump plug steel or aluminium? If it's steel I'd weld a bolt onto it and undo it as normal if trying to undo it with a center punch doesn't work.

Btw, good on her for giving it a shot. All good intentions obviously! :)

Would a dremel type tool with a burr grinder tip take away the outer edge of the flange up to the outer edge of the O Ring seal?
Maybe then an easyout?

Big danger is damaging the smooth face on the sump plug seat.

If your oil change is urgent some quick service mobile oil change people put a sucker line down the dipstick hole and remove the oil. Don't ever have to look at the sump plug again. Just change your oil filter.

Hope you have success.

My go to tools in this situation start with Stilsons, and failing that, Hammer/Cold Chisel.

Had an issue like this on the VX I had.

Took it to mechanic. They put a bit of pipe around plug that sat on the flange of the plug, then belted it with a hammer. Then they used multigrips.

Firstly... Brilliant effort. :lmao:
Secondly... Best to have a replacement sump plug before going any further...
Third... Small set of Vice grips, failing that... weld a ring spanner to the plug or Drill it out

Good luck

Drill a decent hole through the middle, tap it, insert newer smaller sump plug in the sump plug.

Then sell the car so it looks like someone else's dodgy fix, LOL
