2016 VFII SSV Redline - Red Hot
Hi Guys,

Sorry if this has been asked and answered somewhere else, bit I searched and couldn't find anything. I've got a 2016 Redline and when I open the sunroof, not tilt but open, there is so much wind noise, I eventually have to close it. I can't stand it. Is this normal?

Standard noise , I tend to close mine for anything above 60km.

Yep, get the same on my Redline, as does a mate on his GTS. There seems to be a wind deflector up front, which ironically stops the wind noise when you push it down with your hands.

Very poor design if you ask me . Our 10 year old Rav4 sunroof has zero wind noise, at any speed

you just need to adjust the wind deflector and it will become quiet

How? hold it with your hand?

no the wire cables that allow how much it sits up. If in doubt just call pass a sunroof place and they will do it for you. Dont go to a dealer, they will botch it up for you

Thanks

Wow,

Just what I was after. Yes I had discovered that if I hold the deflector down, the noise is substantially reduced. I didn't know this could be adjusted, thanks Super Coach. Will look into it. Thanks guys.

Hold the deflector down next time you're on the freeway and watch how much your head lining flaps around. I'll pass on playing around with it.

How does Holden let the cars leave the factory without this adjusted? I hate the noise is makes with the wind deflector up.

I had mine fixed under warranty on the Calais V.
The deflector was too high allowing wind to go above and below the deflector.
