Supercharger rebuild

Hi I am in the middle of rebuilding the supercharger off my L67 the rotor blades are quite dark and look a bit burnt almost, how do i know if I need to get them recoated.

Sounds like a buildup of oil and crap from the PCV system. If the rotor coating is coming off you would see shiny alloy.

I have taken some photos 2 of before I cleaned the rotors and 2 from after I have cleaned the rotors

Do the blades wear out or just the bearings and seal stuff.

The rotors don't really wear out but the coating does tend to come off with age unless of course there is a major bearing failure which allows the rotors to touch the casing or each other in which case things would be stuffed.

They look alright. Apparently the rotors are teflon coated. It's very noticeable when they chip as it shows the bright aluminium underneath. I had a couple of l67 chargers here a while ago, and one had some play in the snout and the rotors were able to touch/rattle against eachother and had worn off a fair bit of the coating. The other one was tight and had no noticeable wear like your one - I wouldn't hesitate to reuse those as-is.
