What kinda work will you be doing with it?

If its just gonna be a once every so often deal just buy something midrange IMO. It will do the job, be fairly reliable. Id only be buying Kinchrome if you were either, quite pedantic about your tools or are going to be using it a lot.

I wouldn't trust them what so ever. Like above - get something mid range from a reputable manufacturer (I've got a sidcrome but kincrome are fine) and be confident that it's calibrated correctly. Of course keep it in it's case and take good care of it and it'll last decades.

Get a kincrome. Not expensive but decent enough quality to give you confidence that it won't **** itself the first time you use it.

out of interest, how do you know its still in calibration?

bit slow to answer this, soz.

we need to calibrate our workshops torque wrenches every year and get a certificate. i have the number of a guy if you like. he sticks it in the meter thingie and then toques up to certain points on his meter to check if its accurate.
