Yeah thats just a HSV enhanced calais, nothing really special.
SV5000's were completly different, and are absolutly MINT.
And price would be a lot higher too

Cheapest VN SV5000 I've seen of late was $8,500.

One on Ebay now for $16,000.

yeah thought so. You know whats funny i had a look on ebay yesterday there was a vn that looked exactly like the sv5000 in green (much like the ones on ebay i just had a slook at) with the bodykit removed had badges and stuff on it he was selling it as a v8 conversion. Probably a mock up but i cant find it now.

Yeah its pretty crap how there is so many fakes out there.
And when ppl actually try and pass them as the real thing, its stupid, and degrades the original cars.
You lookin for a new car rory or u just like killing time on ebay like me?

Malachite rings a bell for the green colour.

I think that they were based on an executive and therefore had a VIN starting 6H8VK19L...etc.

The one on ebay (real one) list malachite green as the colour.
I sent the guy a question telling him its not a sv500 his reply was
Hi Mate, I would not know whether it is an SV5000 or not as it is my sons car. If you want to talk to him,

Then why would you put it on the subtitle and description?

Maybe the guy advertising the car doesn't realise the significance of 'SV5000' in terms of spec.?

    I found this:

    HSV SV 5000 Commodore (SOLD)

which might provide a point of reference. It appears from the VIN in that ad. that they are based on a Berlina rather than Exec.
