So whilst I am up in sunny QLD for a holiday I took the LFX for its first test 'n' tune session at Willow bank.

I am happy with my 3 runs and the VF got a bit of interest in pre-stage from other holden guys.

14.995 @ 95.81
14.852 @ 95.71
14.774 @ 96.82

14.7 is a good time for a 6.

You got improved mph with your 3rd run too. What did you do differently?

Thanks mate.

Its funny when your on the track and some runs feel faster than others or you think your 60' is slower but its not !!!

The first run was my first ever in the car spun the wheels through 1st gear and then I bounced it going from second to third
Second run not as much wheel spin off the line and no bouncing second into third
Third and final was a 2000 RPM launch with a bit of clutch playing to stop the wheels from spinning and then changing at 6500 for second and third

The third run was also later in the night so ambient temperature was lower

I left traction control on for all my runs as i didn't want much spin

Next time I'm keen to get some 16" semi slicks and tweak a few more things to see if i can get close to 14.5 in stockish form

The last run was also against an auto VE SS which i enjoyed :)

Not so much just the driver, but will agree it does help, Depends on what trans as well, with the auto you cant stall it up much 1250-1300rpm.

very valid point on the trans, didnt get a chance to see if he was running auto or manual, most likely auto though. still expected better then 15s from it.
