SV6 190 Badges

Can anyone tell me when the VZ SV6 dropped the 190 badge from below the side blinkers on the guards? 2004s and early 2005s seem to have them, and I have seen them a couple of 2006s.

Did they drop them wth the 2005 Update?? Doesn't explain the 06 though. Customized maybe.

I am trying to pick the details that differentiate the early, late, and update SV6s.

not totally sure but i think early 05 where that last to get them. but then again if you have seen 06's with them. best way to check is to see if it has extra airbags and a lsd. if it does its the updated model or a earlier one thats been optioned up

i heard something to do with new emission laws made them change something in the catalytic converter which caused a slight drop in power. there fore they removed the 190 badges.
can anyone confirm this?

They did get a power loss to 188kw with euro3, but i beleive that the badges had been dropped before that occured.

I think this shows that the ones without the badge as the seriesII versions of the VZ Commodores.

Holden I think has scraped Series I --> II, but does do updates.

My May05 model had them, i ****ed em off though

they told me that alot of customers thought it looked better without it so they decided to leave it off

my december 05 did not have them and does not meet euro 3 emmission standards (thank god)
