I recently bought an 09 SV6 (to replace my trusty old 89 VN V6) and have noticed that the cruise control stops working (or won't even turn on). After some trial and error I have found that after 5 or 6 flashes when indicating a left turn the cruise control turns off and can't be restarted without turning off the engine. Right turns are ok and the problem doesn't happen if the stalk is in the high beam position all of which leads me to believe the switch cluster is faulty and I will be checking out the warranty next week.
Has anyone else had this problem, is it common? Knowing this might put me in a stronger position with the dealer.

Took it in to the dealer today - they confirm my suspicions - faulty indicator/cruise control switch cluster. New one on order from Australia and will be replaced under warranty.

Thats good news and even better that you were able to replicate the issue with Holden. Saves you time from going back and forth

Indicator switch has been replaced - all now works as it should AND they replaced the cracked plastic trim on the side of the drivers seat where the height/tilt control is - all under warranty. :spot on:
