2009 Holden SV6 Ute LLT 3.6
Hi Guys,

I have a 2009 SV6 SIDI (LLT engine).
I occasionally get the P0300 & P0301 fault codes.
Coupled with this I get a quite heavy misfire and smoke out of the exhaust, also a fuel smell when this happens.

This issue is very random, might not happen for months and then all of a sudden will happen again.
I have changed all the spark plugs and the coil packs and have changed the O2 sensors.

Wondering if anyone has had this same issue and what your mechanics did to rectify.

PS. I've already had the timing chain done by Holden.

Could be the injector on cyl1. Checked the leads for resistance test?

Just had the same issue but with cylinders 3 and 5 also. Not encouraging since the car is being towed to the Mechanic on Monday. If i have any success with the repairs I can post to let you know.

Does it happen after you give it a bit? Is it OK when you cruising?
Sounds like stretched chain's.

I had the Chains replaced 4 years ago so I am not expecting it will be that. Last time the chains went the car went in and out of limp mode until permanently being in limp mode. There was no shaking of the engine. Yesterday it happened with a bang. Everything was fine then PING PING with the engine light. The scan was all misfires on bank 1 P0300,1,3,5 etc. Smoke/fumes coming out of bank 1 exhaust. Resetting the DTC's doesn't change anything. Had to limp home on < 6 cylinders. Restarting the car this morning was no different. PING PING engine light, car shaking. Difficult initially to start with it stalling too. So it is a permanent problem.

I am sure they will look at that. Mechanic swamped so will have to come back to you on that.
