SV6 Sports Mode Button

Hi,

A mate of mine has a June 2007 SV6, this has a sports button next to the Traction Control button on the centre console just infront of the gear stick.

I have the same car except mine is Nov 2007, and all it has is the traction button?

Any Idea's Lads?

is yours manual, the sport shift button is only used in autos as it changes the shift patterns for the transmission, better for petrol heads and people towing

Holden deleted the sports mode button on the SV6 around Aug or Sep 07. Mine is a Jan 08 and has no sports mode button.

well there you go, i guess you dont need it anyway as it has a/s

Sports mode is still there but to activate it now you put the shifter into the tiptronic mode and as long as you dont shift up or down it will go into auto sports mode.

Lenny. how do you find the gear box I get some weird noises come from mine partically in the lower gears seems to make a type of whistling noise, I don't if this would be normal in low gears??

Pfffft! The point of the semi-auto (some call it tiptronic even though it's not) is that is holds the gear... Now it's setup just as ****ty as the Fords.
